Luke

When I first met Luke he had been struggling with recovery following a horrific footballing injury which left his leg in pieces. He had bone graft operations and metal put into his leg to help him to walk again. We devised a plan together to strengthen Luke’s leg and get him back to full fitness. After some gruelling rehabilitation sessions, Luke regained his confidence and mobility and started an athletic bodybuilding style programme which saw him improve his strength & conditioning and body composition drastically.

With his confidence and stability in his leg restored, Luke wanted to test himself athletically and decided he wanted to compete in the boxing ring. Through 12 weeks of specific training and nutrition protocols, Luke’s weight tumbled from 105kg to 93kg and he was in prime shape for his boxing debut. He won by unanimous decision and picked up the Chorley and Preston Area Heavyweight Title.

For Luke’s next challenge he decided he wanted to run a half marathon at the Great North Run, having never ran over 5km in his life. Through specific online strength and conditioning coaching over a period of 14 weeks, Luke built up the endurance and strength in his leg he needed and completed the half marathon just a few years after not knowing if he’d be able to walk properly again. More recently Luke has gone on to compete in the boxing ring again multiple times and now in Hyrox events. I can't wait to see what he gets up to next!

Debbie

When I first met Debbie, she needed help rehabilitating some serious injuries which could have easily got the better of her. Debbie had so much positive energy and determination to repair the damage her injuries had caused and become stronger than she had ever been. After lots of focused strength training, Debbie was feeling back to her best and confident in her body again. So much so that she decided to embark on a 300-mile Arctic trek across Norway!

We agreed on a plan and Debbie got into fantastic shape. She completed the whole trek, finishing with some sore muscles but completely injury free! This is an amazing achievement and shows what can be done with a positive mindset and determination. 

A word from Debbie-

"When I first got in touch with Joss it was to help me after a hip replacement and also with knee pain due to a torn cartilage in my left knee that was causing me some discomfort.  I found Joss to be great to work with, he really knew what he was talking about with regards to my injuries and rehabilitation.  Once I started working with Joss I noticed a real improvement in my mobility and also my strength.  So much so that I decided to sign up for an Artic Dog Trekking Challenge which involved covering 300 miles in deep snow with temps of minus 20.  On top of this we were also camping so it was a real physical challenge that I set myself up for, especially at 53! Once I told Joss he set about really raising the anti with my training in order to get me ready to complete it in April.  Once in Norway, I found the challenge incredibly physically demanding, but both my knee and my hip performed way better than I ever imagined and it's down to Joss and his training, and for that I will always be grateful!  Joss is fun to work with, knows his stuff and pushes you in the right way to achieve your goals and I would recommend him without hesitation! Abdullah

Abdullah has achieved fantastic results through online coaching. He has lost over 7kg in weight whilst dropping body fat and building muscle in the process. These body composition results were a side effect of him training to improve his strength & conditioning. As he progressed, Abdullah decided he wanted to test himself and entered his first ever 10km race having never attempted that distance before. After getting into (in his own words) “the best shape of my life”, he completed the race with ease and as you can see had great fun in the process. Since then, Abdullah has progressed to a half marathon and now boxing!

Abdullah has tremendous dedication and commitment- fitting his training in alongside running a very successful business and spending time with his family. He has even built a ‘home gym’ at his office and trains there online with me twice per week!
